4 Ingredient Back-to-School Treat 🍎

4 Ingredient Back-to-School Treat 🍎

I would argue that there’s no better way to start a new school year than with a cute treat! 😉 These apples, AKA chocolate-covered pretzels, are one of our favorite traditions. We make them each year and love celebrating our new teachers with a little treat. They’re perfect for meet-the-teacher night, a back-to-school party, or simply enjoying on the first day of school together. Here’s everything you need to make them and how to do it:

Ingredients:

  • Snyder’s Pretzels (I love the Mini Pretzels for the perfect bite-sized treat!)
  • Red Melting Chocolate
  • HARIBO Sour Streamers (you will only need the green ones)
  • Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar

I have all of the ingredients linked here for you.

Steps (video included below):

  1. First, in a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the red chocolate in 30-second intervals.
  2. Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, dip the pretzels into the chocolate, making sure they are completely covered.
  3. Set the dipped pretzels aside on wax paper or parchment paper.
  4. Cut the green HARIBO Sour Streamers into leaf shapes and place them at the top of the pretzel.
  5. Cut the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar into stem-like pieces and dip them slightly into the red melted chocolate to adhere them to the top of the pretzel.
  6. Allow time for them to dry completely, then package them for your new teachers! ❤️

These chocolate-covered pretzels are a fun (and delicious) way to kick off the school year and show appreciation to your new teachers. We hope you enjoy making and sharing them as much as we do. Here’s to a fantastic start to the school year! 🍎✨
